FAQ

How much is entry?
As of 2024 we operate a sliding scale: £10 / £15 / £20 (plus £20 lifetime venue membership on your first visit if you don’t already have one). TCZ takes half of the total door profit but does not profit from the venue membership fee.

Where can I buy a ticket?
Nowhere! All TCZ parties are strictly pay on the door.

What time do the parties take place?
2pm - 8pm, with last entry at 3:30pm.

What ID do I need?
The venue’s accepted forms of ID are passports (including out of date ones – within reason), driving licences (including provisional) and Citizen Cards. If using a passport or Citizen Card you will also need to bring proof of address – this can be a letter or image on your phone. If your legal name is your deadname, put your chosen name alongside this in brackets on the venue sign up form. You can also bring your Deed Poll if you have changed your name but haven’t updated your ID. Whilst I understand that this is far from ideal, this is down to SEV licensing laws which state that venues need to have a legal name on file. Once on file, it will never be referred to again. It can also be updated at any time.

Is the venue accessible?
Regrettably, the venue is not fully wheelchair accessible.
- There is step-free access to the venue via a gate which stewards can open for you upon arrival. The venue provides a ramp which will enable access to the downstairs play rooms and first dungeon. However: There are no disabled or Changing Places toilets in the venue and every toilet has one step up to it.
- Steps throughout the venue are as follows: There are 5 steps up from the reception, 11 steps down to the dancefloor, 1 step up to the main dancefloor, 2 steps down to the play rooms and first dungeon, 12 steep and narrow steps (which can also become slippy) down to the wet area, jacuzzi and second dungeon, 1 step into each individual shower and 14 steep and narrow steps up to the dogging area. All stairs have handrails. Stewards are available to assist people where possible.
- Many of the play areas are dimly lit or completely dark.
- Music on the dancefloor will be loud but play areas and the smoking area are either quiet or without music. Ear defenders and ear plugs will be available.
- Standard disco lighting (moving colours) is used on the dancefloor. No strobing is used.
I deeply regret that some of these issues mean that not everyone will be able to come to our parties.

Is there a dress code?
Not as such – it is simply “wear whatever you feel sexy in”. I would rather people feel comfortable than feel that they need to spend loads of money on fetishwear. The only things that aren’t allowed are: fancy dress, military or police uniforms, school uniforms, ableist fetish wear (i.e. straightjackets) or religious wear unless you are practicing that religion. Full nudity is fine.

What are the requirements for membership?
All LGBTQIA+ people over 18 are welcome to come and play with us but bigots, racists and edgelords are not welcome. I do not make my decision based on what you look like, what you wear, how many followers you have or who you know but how you come across on the application form. It's a safety thing, not a popularity contest.

Is TCZ a BDSM party?
No – TCZ is predominantly a sex party, rather than a BDSM event. Having said that, many people who attend also engage in BDSM and kink practices, which we welcome. The only practices that we do not allow is any kind of CNC play, the use of terms and play that relates to enslaved people, race play, fetishisation of marginalised groups, religious play, needle play, barebacking and scat.

What happens at TCZ?
Sex, socialising, dancing, sex, life affirming experiences…

Do I have to have sex?
Of course not! And you shouldn’t feel pressured into doing so either. You can just come to socialise, dance and feel good in your body. Much of the sexual activity happens away from the dancefloor.

What is the Pay It Forward scheme?
Free entry is available for QTIPOC Members. Simply email me with your membership number by 12pm on the day before the party.

Does TCZ have a traffic light system?
Yes, wristbands are available on the dancefloor and translate as:
Green = DTF. Direct play requests with minimal chat welcome
Yellow = Open to chat. Open to play with the right person
Red = Not here to play. Do not approach. I may approach you if I feel comfortable
There are also stickers to add to the wristband to indicate your role:
Purple = Top
Pink = bottom
Silver = Vers

What is the venue like?
The venue TCZ uses is huge with private booths, orgy spaces, glory holes, a dancefloor with poles, 2 dungeons, light BDSM furniture, a fully stocked bar (although sobriety is encouraged) and a jacuzzi. TCZ provides free condoms, nitrile gloves and lube in all of the play areas.

Does TCZ have an icebreaker?
Yes – participation is optional but very much encouraged as it should help you pair (or group) off quicker! Stewards will get people into groups, with a question prompt sheet that will be passed around everyone in the group. When everyone in the group has answered the questions, the groups will be switched. The icebreaker lasts around 30 minutes.

Is the crowd diverse?
TCZ has Members of all kinds of backgrounds, genders, sexualities, bodies etc but unfortunately the crowd isn’t as racially diverse as I would like, with white people making up most of the memberships. I am actively seeking to change the dynamics of the space by offering free entry to QTIPOC members and engaging with QTIPOC attendees to ensure they feel comfortable in the space but I acknowledge that there is still a lot of work to be done. I do not want TCZ to be another whitewashed queer event.

What kind of age range is the crowd?
Whilst TCZ has Members of all ages from 18 to 70, our Members are predominantly aged between 20 and 35.

Can I bring my own food?
The venue states that you are only permitted to bring your own food if you need it for medical or dietary reasons. It sells bar snacks, toasties and pizza but unfortunately these are not vegan.

What kind of music do you play?
A wide variety! House, techno, rap, R&B, disco, experimental pop, classic pop, ambient electronica, garage, gabber, Shirley Bassey...

Can I take photos or film content?
No. We do not allow photography or filming of any kind by attendees to ensure guest anonymity. Your phone must be stored at reception upon entry unless you need it for health reasons (i.e. for a Libre alarm).

Can I perform / DJ at the party?
Whilst I appreciate your interest I do not hire performers or DJ's for the simple reason that attendees generally do not stay on the dancefloor long enough to warrant it - we're a sex party, not a rave or performance event, and most attendees are too busy having their own fun elsewhere in the venue! I curate a playlist for each party which plays out on the dancefloor for those who want to dance but most of the time it is largely ignored - and I'm absolutely happy about that because it means the party is working how it should be ;)

Do you receive any funding?
Whilst I did receive funding for TCZ events in 2021, TCZ is now funded by door sales and donations only. Click here to donate (please make sure you state that your donation is for TCZ). All profits go back into TCZ (i.e. buying supplies, paying stewards, enabling the Pay It Forward system), with donations made to trans surgery fundraisers and grassroots LGBTQIA+ and sex work organisations when possible.
